Engineering involves teamwork and collaboration, when looking at engineering job work areas they are quite often not small cubicles but open work spaces that allow fluid collaboration. With these options I should be able to mimic a more realistic engineering experience for my students. The outcomes I hope to achieve is an environment that fosters collaboration and team work, as well as meet the needs of students who do not learn at their potential in non flexible seating options. As we work on projects like building robots students can participate freely in fluid give and take discussions and collaboration. To be able to bounce ideas off of other classmates is a strong part of the design process.
