This is an all-girl public school in New York. The main goal of this school is to empower urban girls to make positive life choices. The mission is for all of our students to go to college. My personal mission as a Visual Arts Educator is to expand students' understanding of art. Many of these girls have not had art since they were in Elementary school. Also, many have them have not been inside an art gallery/museum. I am working to change that.
