In room 7 we will be incorporating a time for literacy centers as part of our morning routine. The students are assigned to groups and rotate through all centers during the time frame allowed. Each child will have their own materials to manipulate in addition to working with a partner for certain centers. Some centers will be teacher directed to help build the foundation for letter recognition, letter sounds, writing and the formation of letters, and building words. It is our hope that we can put into place the beginning steps to a writing and literacy program at the preschool level to help make their educational transition into kindergarten an easier one.

About my class
