My students are motivated to learn by using their hands and most do not shy away from what adults would consider gross. They want to know what our bodies are made of and want to explore the processes that are essential for life. Both native speakers and English learners learn best by doing- this is especially true in science! Our students crave learning and answering the questions they have about the world, since we are learning about body systems they are particularly interested how the body works.
