My students absolutely love to read. They enjoy being able to choose a book to read and I love having a variety of lessons they can learn within the stories. We do class read-alouds, as well as independent reading time where students are able to explore books and find what they love to read. Our class library is a calming space where students can relax and learn to love reading. We do a lot of work in class on social skills and coping mechanisms, and I have been hoping to add more books to the class library that reinforce our lessons. These books would be a perfect addition to my class library.
