My students strive to become independent readers, but often struggle due to their learning differences. These books will engage my students and boost their confidence in their ability to read. Our lessons will be centered around one book each week. We will focus on the structure of the story and learn different strategies to deepen our understanding of the story. As the week progresses, the students will be familiar enough with the text to read and complete activities independently. This approach will help them increase their reading comprehension. These books will allow me to provide literacy instruction that adapts to all of my students learning differences. I will be able to create engaging, effective, and accessible lessons for my students with diverse needs. Packaged with their desire to learn, these books will help them reach their many goals.
