At our school, classroom teachers are responsible for students' PE lessons. My kids truly enjoy playing dodgeball at PE, and I would love for them to take it to recess and share it with their friends. However, we do not have the right equipment to play. To avoid injuries, I am looking to buy the dodgeballs that are made of the foam materials. Due to the fact that these are made of foam, they break easily and have to be replaced often. The emphasis will be on team building, with emphasis on how to take a loss in stride as well as how to show good sportsmanship when you win. Social-emotional growth is a huge part of the game. This will be an ongoing theme throughout the year.
