Anyone who has spent hours at a desk understands the necessity of a comfortable place to sit. The children using our library have two choices; the floor or a hard plastic chair. I would like to provide a comfortable place students can sit and read, a nook where their minds are focused on learning, instead of their sore bottoms. Unburdened by uncomfortable surroundings will help us achieve our goal in cultivating strong reading habits that promote self-learners. I chose the bean bag chairs for their ease of cleaning, storage, and weight. I selected 15, but the fact is, sometimes I have classes with 25 or more children. If you can help out, my students and I would greatly appreciate it. These kiddos understand how to be appreciative. When someone goes out of their way to help them, they get it. They understand the bean bag chair comes from someone hoping their contribution gives them a little better life.
