We all know technology is a part of our everyday lives. For my students who are transitioning to the real world and beginning their independent lives technology is mandatory. I teach special needs students ages 18-22. These students have met their high school requirements and are transitioning into the work force. Technology is necessary for these students for everyday situations. Using an iPad and apps can help them when applying for jobs, finding bus schedules and even ordering groceries. Students can also begin using various apps to strengthen reading skills as well as other valuable work skills. I requested the iPad and iMac as well for their typing and other skills and iPad cannot provide. The uses for these items are endless!
