Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works best for them. Working with students K-5 I need to have varied heights and options for my students to work. The coffee table is the perfect height for my younger students who cannot yet sit on stools and higher surfaces to work. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Each item I have requested is driven by student interest. The picture frames will be used to display photographs taken by students in a gallery display for parents. The next unit will utilize the black lights, tape, and paint in a space exploration unit. Enrichment students will be doing many hands-on projects which will require a drying rack for temporary placement of their work.
