Thank you for taking an interest in my students. In keeping with my goal to always be resourceful, I have chosen items that will be used across every grade level and for many different project types. I love learning about new mediums/project ideas and each time I find one, I know I have to bring it to my students.
I have chosen items that will assist with acrylic paintings, paper weaving (need those rulers) and Ink and Oil Pastel projects.
I also chose Prismacolor white colored pencils to introduce my 8th grade artists to the beauty of what these pencils are capable of.
One of the projects I am excited to introduce to my art students, using the donated materials, is a Mandala India Ink and Oil Pastel Project. Students will fill the bingo marker daubers with India Ink and carefully create their lines and designs of a Mandala. The neon oil pastels will be used to add color inside their lines! This project not only introduces them to an art style and movement from different cultures, but also teaches symmetry and other Elements of Art.
My school is implementing a brick and mortar and virtual learning A & B schedule, so these items will be used in the classroom and at home.
Thank you again for considering my DonorsChoose project, I can guarantee that these art mediums and supplies will be put to great use!
