I use the Daily 5 routines in my 5th-grade classroom to instill independence and student ownership in Reading and Language Arts. Research has shown that students need to build their reading stamina to be successful readers. And the key to building stamina is finding 'good fit' books. I want to provide my students ample choice to pick the perfect books for themselves so that they can enjoy reading and build their reading stamina. As many of my students come from low-income families, they do not have access to books at home. Please help me diversify my classroom library to grow my student's passion for reading!
