Escape rooms make reviewing content and problem solving exciting and engaging. Escape room activities involve working in teams to complete tasks and work towards a common goal. These skills of collaboration, listening, communication and problem solving are all skills students will need for success in future careers and in life. Escape rooms in my Math classroom will involve solving multiplication riddles, lock boxes, secret math codes, finding keys, disappearing ink and many other engaging tools that will encourage all students to be excited about MATH! My hope is to use Escape Room quests as a way to review Math skills at the end of every nine weeks. This will allow me to assess my students knowledge and allow students to have practice problem solving and cooperating with their peers. I feel it is important for students to learn from each other and build on their communication skills while learning.
