Putting instruments in students hands has been a priority as an instrumental music teacher, so it just makes sense to continue with this approach in the general music setting. The modern band experience allows students the opportunity to become musicians using guitars, keyboards, an electric bass, and a drum set, rather than traditional classroom instruments. How Cool is that!? Students will learn chords and finger patterns at varying levels from beginner to advanced and will collaborate to perform some of their favorite songs. Songs they might listen to on their own devices or hear on the radio. Hands on authentic music making at its best!
