Technology is everywhere, woven into our everyday lives, living in the 21st century where many of our students are tech savvy. Having access to a set of two Chromebooks will increase my student’s success. My students will be able to utilize educational apps, and Mobymax to help learn mathematics and deepen their understanding in effective ways. Mobymax finds and fixes missing math skills that are essential for math comprehension. Students increase an average of one grade level with just 20 hours of practice. Mobymax is a comprehensive math curriculum for kindergarten to eighth grade. The primary reason that Mobymax is so effective is because students do not waste time practicing material they have already mastered. Instead, Mobymax targets areas where students are struggling and allows students to progress immediately once mastery is achieved.  Using technology creates opportunities for schools and teachers to benefit from integrating some form of technology to make teaching and learning more effective. According to research, having access to technology increases student engagement and encourages a more active participation in the learning process. This can be difficult through traditional lectures. Technology increases the ability for students to retain information, student and encourages them to work independently. Technology allows students to work at their own pace, review concepts, or skip ahead. Technology enhances the learning process and makes concepts come alive through interactive media. Having access to a set of Chromebooks will increase student’s success.
