Teaching the game the way it should be correctly played is our biggest mission for our players while they practice their skills and generalize those skills in games. Proper equipment allows for adequate training of skills to ensure safety and preparedness when players are competing. It is our mission as coaches to ensure safety, teaching, and practicality with equipment to generalize skills during games. For example, the basketballs, cones and training balls will be used for agility and to practice basic and advanced dribbling skills. When using these balls and cones during training, it ensures proper footwork and balance during gameplay. This is extremely important because last year was our first year as a CIF school and we did not have our own basketballs and practice equipment. We want our players to be prepared and have the resources necessary to have a fair chance of competing with other schools that have their own facilities and materials. Most of the time, players who have the proper equipment to prepare for games, have less chance of becoming injured and perform at a higher level. My students/players are motivated and are ready to begin the 2019 2020 season with new equipment!
