This past week we had our in-school science fair and 80% of my students were shy when judges asked them questions about their science fair project. They were not confident. When I asked them why they were so quiet when judges asked them questions many said that they did not feel comfortable talking while other students were watching them. The iPad will be used in a manner that will help students obtain confidence in public speaking. They will use software called Imovie. The reason I know this will help them is that they will get to use a green screen. Students will research and then present using this green screen letting them put any background they liked.
