I teach fifth graders and work with sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in my school library. I love talking about different story formats with my students and helping them find the book that will hook them and develop a love of reading. My students love graphic novels. They whip through them, sharing them with friends and asking if the next in a series is available yet. I can't keep them on the special cart we have set aside for JUST our graphic novel collection. This grant will expand my student's access to wonderful graphic novel titles while making reading fun.
