My kiddos are lucky enough to have their own Chromebooks to use while we practice 21st century skills like word processing! Unfortunately, their teacher is stuck at the front of the room running the computer. This means precious instructional minutes are lost when I have to pause and walk around the room making sure everyone is doing okay. Or worse, when a student doesn't understand I have to draw attention to it by stopping the lesson to go and work with them on their Chromebook. An iPad would allow me to connect to my computer to demonstrate skills at the same time I am checking on my students' understanding. It would provide the flexibility and mobility to show students the correct way to use the skills without being at a stationary computer.
