Why a field trip? Most of the exciting things I remember about school were things I learned from a field trip. I want students to have the same fond memories. Field trips provide students with the opportunity to learn by doing instead of passively listening in a classroom. They help kids become engaged, develop questions and share experiences with their peers. Kids begin to see that what they are learning in the classroom can help them solve problems in the world. This particular field trip will bring to life a favorite story (Little Mermaid) and help kids gain a deeper comprehension of the fairy tale.
