The majority of students using our school library are ethnic minorities. It is vital that the books in the library represent them. I want to help students see the possibilities available to them, to see that there is a whole world out there needing what they have to offer. I want them to know that their experiences are unique and universal. The titles in this project will provide those windows and mirrors for all my students and will instill ideas of inclusion, diversity, and social justice in each one. We want our kids to dream big!

About my class
