The students in my classroom have daily struggles with regulating their sensory systems. My students inability to regulate their sensory system causes them them to feel out of control of their bodies. The lack of sensory system control causes difficultly concentrating and focusing at school, and can make it challenging from them to learn. My students need sensory items to help them regulate and learn at school. My students face many challenges that you and I can only imagine. Each child has a unique set of sensory needs. Sensory input can help a student stay focused and organized throughout the day. I am asking for a body body, pea pod (sensory boat), wobble cushion, and sensory toys. By engaging my students in sensory activities on a frequent, regular basis, I hope to give them the ability to remain engaged, focused, and in control more often. When students become overstimulated, disorganized, or overwhelmed, these sensory items will help them regulate themselves. My students require input from the body pod and sensory boat to help keep their bodies calm. I feel that these added resources will help them to fulfill their potential. If this project is funded, my students will be able to improve their sensory integration problems and become more focused on learning and academics.
