This school year I’ve really focused on inspiring and empowering. The students have named people that have empowered them. They are working on ways that they can give back using their words and/or encourage others. Kids will be decorating rocks with words of affirmation or quotes that will empower others. The rocks will placed around our community at local businesses and parks. The back of the rock will have a label stating “Leesville High School JAG” so community members know who painted it. JAG stands for Job’s for America’s Graduates. These students will graduate and enter the workforce and need to understand the importance of working with and how to empower others. Painting will be therapeutic for them but the end project will encourage others.
