Our voices are the first instrument a child has. Singing and pitch recognition are the basis from which all music is learned. The precautions for COVID 19 prevents us from singing in the classroom. Using camping chairs students can create an outside classroom which allows them freedom to sing individually or in formal choral groups. Musical instruction incorporates cognitive, social, emotional and kinesthetic learning. This developmental process allows students to gain vocal technique , empathy skills as well as the ability to work in groups and bridge tactile and visual learning to create musical sounds in a community environment.
