Teaching in a blended classroom provides unique opportunities and challenges. Our students are learning self-sustaining skills every day while individual focus switches between grade-level instruction. Flexible seating will be used to make students feel like our classroom belongs to ALL of us, not just the teachers. Headphones will be used to facilitate a quiet and calm classroom environment while one group works independently and the other receives intervention. Some of our students feel more comfortable in our school than in their own homes. Our ultimate goal is for our space to be adaptable to their needs, and inviting to learning.

About my class
