This training provides the framework, methodology, instructional tools to better teach all children! (With support from the k-2 Special Ed teacher) The title team will be targeting intensive academic & behavior children within our school. What we know is that 1:5 learners are dyslexic and that 80% of learning disabilities is dyslexia. Using a structured literacy approach rooted in Orton- Gillingham philosophy that is multi-sensory, sequential, direct instruction that focuses on phonological awareness, decoding etc. I can reach these kiddos who struggle! Most of my students live with trauma and in poverty. Being able to read is the first step towards a better life. I am excited to grow as an educator and in return help my students gain in confidence and in skills for a better life! I know with the multi-sensory training, my students will prosper: academics will improve and behavior will decline. This training will teach me how to individualize reading programs using multi-sensory approaches. This is a game changer! Thank you for the opportunity to help me, our instructional team, & these very special children!!
