Who should come to school every day, not just hungry to learn but starving because they did not have supper the night before or breakfast that morning? All students, especially the students in my 4th-6th special education classroom, deserve to have full stomachs to prepare them for successful days of learning each day they walk through my door. Like all teachers, I am willing to take time out of my day to provide a set time for a healthy snack. It would be wonderful to keep healthy snacks on hand to share with my students who are hungry for more than just knowledge. By providing a snack, I know that students do not have to go hungry and can focus on learning material that can give them a bright future.

About my class
