My students favorite time of the school day is independent reading. This is an opportunity for them to take full autonomy over their reading and relax. They can sit anywhere they want in the classroom and these materials will make this time of the day more comfortable for students. Currently our only option is to sit on the floor or a small area rug, however, more options will encourage students to dive even deeper into their reading. With these materials, independent reading time will become more meaningful as well as exciting for students. More seating options will also continue to promote a loving and safe environment.
