At our library, reading is just the beginning! We are taking our knowledge of science and technology to the next level, where the students are the coders and inventors. Our students are curious and inventive, and these tools will help our creativity blossom! For our primary students, Mouse Robot helps kids learn the basics of programming, with lots of fun ways to create and solve puzzles. These mice don't run on cheese, but AAA batteries, so rechargeable batteries and chargers will keep us running strong. For our upper grades, Makey Makey is an electronic invention tool that allows users to connect everyday objects to computer programs. Makey Makey provides endless creative possibilities; if they can imagine it, they can program and create it! Copper tape can make anything conductive, so students can create circuits using all kinds of materials.
