Adding the benches to our outdoor garden will give students a chance to enjoy the sunshine while at the same time appreciate the hard work that goes into making a productive garden, with the hopes of somehow paralleling that thought process into the same amount of work it takes to become a better student. Our hopes are that a happy, relaxed and prepared student equals one that performs better in the classroom. With that thought in mind, viewing and tending the garden and having the tools available and close at hand, is a valuable lesson not only in gardening but also the classroom.

About my class
