I am trying to fund a class set of Chromebooks so that my students are able to do more hands on learning. Currently we can rent devices (I-O Lab) from the U of I that pair with computers. These devices can measure multiple facets that pertain to science, some including Newton's Laws. Students are also required to write two research based papers on a Science article they find interesting. While we have access to some older Science World magazines, having chromebooks would allow the students access to up and coming science discoveries and news. Science is a very important subject to have students constantly researching and discovering new finds globally. With the help of a classroom set of Chromebooks, students will be able to be more proactive in their learning. They will be able to research important subject matter, experience hands on learning with the I-O Labs, and become more independent in quarterly assignments.
