I am raising funds in order to purchase a class set of 24 ukuleles for my 5th grade general music students. It is my hope that with this class set we can complete a Rainbow Ukulele unit. There are over 50 songs they can learn! It is a great motivational tool that allows students to earn colors, similar to recorder karate. This is a great stepping stone that will help prepare students for learning guitar in the upper grades. Each student will get to play during class once a week, learning individual notes and eventually chords. Donations will help enhance our amazing music program by reinforcing note reading and instrumental techniques.
