Using Lummni Sticks will allow students to explore activities other than traditional sports and fitness to gain strength, coordination and balance. Students will use the sticks in pattern movement to music while working on the six components of fitness: muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, agility, cardiovascular fitness and body composition. Examples would be sit-ups, squats and .upper body movement. Tapping the sticks together in rhythmic movement to music overhead, to the side, behind the back, between legs and out in front are just a few ways to utilize the sticks. Partner routines are another way to motivate through movement and music.
