According to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, using math manipulatives plays a helpful role in teaching math concepts to children. Math manipulatives are great in helping students understand math processes and procedures. Several math studies show that when students use manipulatives, mathematic achievement improves. The manipulatives that I am requesting will help students with counting, identifying numbers, practice telling time, counting money, and learning the place value system. Using manipulatives to teach math can positively affect student learning. Students at all levels and abilities can use math manipulatives to learn math concepts. This project will help the students in my class to practice math skills by using math manipulatives to investigate different math ideas. Please help my students gain the tools they need to be successful mathematicians!
