Thememoryproject.org is an art-portunity for high school art students all across the country create portraits for less privileged children from orphanages all over the world. Most of these children have little or no worldly possessions, so this is why we create their portraits. Thememoryproject.org staff visit several orphanages a year and then challenge art students to create portraits from the photos they take of the Children. The art materials and upfront costs of $15 per student/photo will give my students the opportunity to explore, practice and apply their portraiture skills and techniques. After we have completed the portraits, they are mailed back to thememoryproject.org , who hand deliver and video document the delivery of our portraits to the children.
