My first graders would be able to use these art supplies to add depth to our current curriculum. Students will be able to create their own pieces of art as their “reflection” and checking for understanding. We would use the upper case and lower case letter stamps to help practice spelling and phonics patterns each week. Students would be able to use a variety of mediums to create their masterpieces, including incorporating letters to their creations. Art would be incorporated in all subject areas. Each week we have a different theme we cover in language arts. The students would individually create a piece of art for the theme, we will collect these and then at the end of the year have a collection/portfolio to take home and share with their family.
