Flexible seating allows students to be more motivated and engaged in their learning. It also allows students to make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times my students choose a location in the classroom that works for them- that helps keep them engaged and focused on their learning tasks. I hope to give them to choices of wobble discs, wobble stools, and yoga balls. These will all give them the chance to use appropriate movement to increase their learning and focus. Flexible seating will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. I have seen how flexible seating can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
