Our 8th grade students don't have the chance to eat at school from 8:00a.m. when the first bell rings until almost 1:00pm for lunch. That means students are going at least 5 hours between fueling up and that is even they ate breakfast before hand. We know that we live in an area that has a lot of poverty so most of our students are not even eating before school. Our district will allow us to give snacks in between classes but we must provide the snacks and they must be free for students. These snacks can make all the difference for students and their academic success.

About my class
