Using the workshop model in math, students work together to graph and solve equations and word problems. The document camera will allow students to share their work with their classmates, as well as provide a fun way for them to use technology to work collaboratively. What becomes a problem is the fact that cameras on our phones are blurry, and aren't an easy way to instantly share work that students produce in class. By having a document camera that instantly connects to our Promethean Smartboard, students will be able to share their thinking in real-time with their classmates to better learn from each other. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply share their academic material at hand, and visually debate and analyze others' mathematical strategies. Students will be able to take the lead in their classroom and learn from each other. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their critical thinking as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
