These shoelaces make wonderful neck straps for students. It helps to support their recorder as well as keep it form falling on the ground and breaking. We will also use the neck straps to keep track of the skills the students have tested off. Each skill is represented by a colored bead. This allows each student to see their accomplishments. The Nuvo brand recorders and shoe lace 'neck straps' will also help my special needs students who have a hard time holding the instruments and covering the holes. The Nuvo recorders have silicone pads which increase the chance of my students being able to play without having squeaks from finger leaks. The Star Wars book will add an fun and exciting challenge for my more advanced players, which will keep them motivated and give me time to work with any struggling students.
