The materials and furniture that I have requested will help create an organized, simple and calm environment for our students. The counseling office should be a place where students feel at ease and have the resources they need at their fingertips. We already have over 50 College/SAT/AP books for the bookshelves. The fidget toys will be put to great use while students wait to see us, borrow them for a class that might produce anxiety or simply have something to fidget with as they share their personal concerns with us. Currently we have mismatched uncomfortable chairs for our guests to sit on as they meet with us. A set of 4 new chairs will pull our office together and allow students, parents and visitors a comfortable place to sit.
