A dictionary can give access to all words, the ones we know and the ones we do not. It shows how vocabulary is being used in context and how it can be misused. A dictionary is an opened door to a whole world. Dictionaries will give the students independence on working with vocabulary they need, understanding what they read, finding out what they want to know and using grammatical terms to guide their writing. A dictionary can breach the gap between a lesson and a task. Using a dictionary can develop skills and improve spelling and writing skills. It is a great resource to have and to rely on instead of using a internet search.
