I am aiming to make my classroom sensory friendly with florescent light covers and alternative seating options. We always are brought up to be unique, then we are forced into uncomfortable desks with hard plastic chairs. No one can learn if they are uncomfortable so I would love to get cushions for the tops of the chairs as well as some alternatives for my Autism/ADHD kiddos by means of the anti-fatigue wobble board and the wobble chairs. It has been found that sitting 7, or 8 hours a day in the hard plastic chairs causes long term damage to a spine, as well as contributes to headaches and lack of focus. There has been a link to Autism and abnormal pupillary light reflex, which causes sensitivity to lights. With the light covers in the classroom, the kids will be less distracted with sensitivities allowing them to focus on their learning.
