A lot of students need hands on materials to help them acquire knowledge. I have 30 students in a special education pull out room that will benefit in some form. The sensory tubs will be used with five students ranging from kindergarten to second grade that are having trouble with the sounds letters make. I will also use the "Touch And Read" center with them as well as any students that may be in my classroom in the future. The "Mad Matter" sensory dough will be used for all my students. One thing that I have found is that any student with a disability can easily be overwhelmed and needs some down time to just relax. The sensory dough gives them something to work with to relax as well as enhance dexterity.
