Most of my students need help with phonics, basic decoding/digraphs/blends and phonemic awareness. These children don’t always have the luxury of access to books/reading material or the opportunity to have someone read to them outside of school. Also, quite a few of our students come from a home where English is the secondary language spoken. Due to these unfortunate factors being paired with a trauma history and/or learning impairment, the majority of these children struggle with being at the appropriate reading level for their age/grade. These materials will help me make learning more fun and engaging for my students! For a kiddo who is struggling with being at the appropriate reading level, lessons taught at their grade level can often cause frustration and work avoidance. With your donations, of learning centers, flash cards, phonics dominoes, and more, I will be able to turn learning into fun games and activities! This will make these individualized learning sessions enjoyable and relaxing for my students in hopes that they will engage and retain information in the areas we are working on!
