Our classroom gathering space is a vital area for discussion and learning in our classroom. In this space, students learn new strategies to support their learning and share strategies that are working for them with their peers. This space is also used to build a safe and respectful learning community in the classroom. I am working to make this space more defined and welcoming. The colorful squares on the rug will help define sitting spaces for all students. They will also help make transitioning to and from the gathering space more efficient which will help maximize the learning time we have together.
