My 3rd and 4th graders look forward to an art lesson each Friday. They love to experiment with different mediums, styles, and projects. Art allows them the opportunity to explore and connect with their world personally. These students are creative and imaginative, and so very proud of their personal masterpieces. We display them every spring for an art museum that the whole community attends. My students would love to experiment with some more expensive materials like acrylic painting on canvas boards, and creating colorful wire sculptures! They would add a new dimension and some diversity to what we are usually able to do.
