Children love stories and enjoy being read to. Adding props to a story can make it much more interesting. Children love to participate and help when given the opportunity. Allowing a child to help tell a story using props gives them a better way to comprehend what is being read to them. Children gain reading, language and comprehension skills as well as learning how to sequence order of events. Numerous abilities can be gained from reading stories to children. I want to give my students visual learning opportunities to help better engage their learning. The more that you read the more things you will know.
