Learning music in an ensemble setting provides an opportunity to cultivate learning in which students are engaging with the learning process through means of collaboration and critical thinking. Currently, my students strive for musical excellence and express themselves through music, which is a joy I am fortunate enough to experience. However, I know that if they had access to simple tools such as whiteboards, they would be able to cultivate their musical ideas more effectively and thus communicate them with more ease. These whiteboards will not only help my students more easily collaborate and communicate their ideas, but they will also help provide a means of differentiation to my students in which they can demonstrate their understanding of various music concepts.
