These books will help my students understand the Holocaust while increasing their literacy skills. It is the captivating story of Marion Blumenthal Lazan's journey during the Holocaust. During my six years of teaching, I've noticed that students don't really know much about the Holocaust. This is a great way to raise awareness while learning important literacy skills. During our time reading, I plan on using resources from Teachers Pay Teachers to guide my teaching. We will focus on cause and effect and drawing conclusions. Students will practice answering comprehension questions while using the RACE strategy.
